A holter monitor is a small battery-powered ECG device attached to your body that will continuously measure your heart’s rate and rhythm for 24 to 48 hours, as you go about your normal daily routine. Dr Khoo may order a 24-hour holter monitoring if a standard snapshot ECG is not sufficient to diagnose your heart condition, or if your heartbeat issues only appear sporadically throughout the day.
